The Breitling Navitimer is a classic watch, and also one of our favorites here at Hodinkee. It's great looking, highly functional, appropriately priced, and has a great story behind it.It is rare however that we come across a vintage Navitimer that replica Corum 02130.521400 watch we've never seen before.Today just happens to be one of those days.We have found for you a very limited edition Navitimer from the 1950s called the Spatiographe. There were only 50 of these watches made, and we have found 37.So how is it any different from a Navitimer or Cosmonaute? It might be hard to notice to an untrained eye, but see that little square aperture at 9 o'clock that reads "10"? That right there is the spatiographe.
Remember, the Navitimer is nothing if not a pilot's watch, and replica Corum 11140.119710 watch many times pilots need to quickly and accurately measure elapsed time. This display ensures an easier read, as that. What is interesting is that it only counts to ten. This is really a strange Breitling, and what is even stranger is that this model was reintroduced in the late 1990s and early 2000s.Of course it was met will little fan fare and you can acquire a modern-day spatiographe for around $2000, if you can find one. This particular spatiographe Breitling is being offered for $6,499.The price may seem high but this watch is 18k pink gold and everything is original and signed.
Yesterday, Laird Hamilton and Team Surfing USA completed the 3,000-plus mile Race Across America. Hamilton and his team of Tim Commerford, Don Wildman, and Jeff Sweet, who filled in for Jason Winn after he crashed on his bike, tacked on a 120-mile stand up paddle from Oceanside, CA, to Malibu at the beginning of the race and a lap around the Rado replica watches Statue of Liberty in New York at the end. The extra effort contributed to the teams goal of raising money and awareness for autism and Lou Gehrigs disease. For more information, go to Surfer.Kyle Dickman
